Love everything about the smoker, it is very easy to maintain desired temps. And even though I have read that these smokers are fuel hogs, that has not been my experience using quality lump charcoal. The grill is still new and I have only smoked with the WSM 3 times. It is miles ahead of my previous Brinkmann smoker and so far I am impressed with its performance. WSM is new to me so still tinkering with best setups. 22" seems to be a good size but I went through more charcoal than expected on my first smoke (Boston Butt). I have cooked some good food on the smoker but, the air leaks around the door and lid are unacceptable in my opinion. The leaks cause more fuel consumption and more adjustments to made to maintain temps. I know the kid will seal over time. The door is substandard. I hate having to think about purcha... I'm in love with my smoker! As a total Rookie, I have no trouble making killer food!
I spent months looking at every BBQ Smoker on the market. I just kept coming back to the Webber Smokey Mountain with 22.5" top grate.
The bad:
1) I didn't buy it sooner.
