I tried multiple times to install drivers and setup with the included disk. I tried one last time moving the USB connection to a USB3 and maybe this helped even though the instructions say to install drivers with unit unplugged. Greatly improved my wifi experience, extremely fast and just perfect for my needs. Signal strength is always on the highest bars even though router is about 40ft away. This is by far the Best Adapter I have ever owned and I have owned many. It only makes sense that if you use Nighthawk Routers or Orbi Routers then you should have an AC adapter that makes the most of those devices, and the AC7000 surely does.
