[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This truly was the coolest set. My kids love rocks, gems and minerals and this set hit the mark. The colors of the pieces are vibrant and beautiful. Instructions were easy and the pieces fit together nicely so this makes a wonderful display piece. ... It does say it's for 18+ but my 11 year old daughter helped me as a lot of it is quite simple to piece together. It does take quite a while to put together, the... I really enjoyed this build. The amethyst, watermelon tourmaline and rhodochrosite are very beautiful.
In the booklet write up about the creator it mentioned a "emerald" which made me curious as it isn't included in the build.

I would say this was my favorite build ever. Besides loving the subject matter, it was satisfying and I marveled at how it came together --especially the amethyst geode. Truly beautiful. My son LOVES all things geodes & Legos. This was the perfect birthday gift for him! He had a great time building it and loves having it on display next to his crystal collection.
