Amazing set, very nostalgic and exciting but...
This set captures bag end very well, the interior is very detailed and smooth looking. The birthday party is a very welcome addition to this set. The build experience was very enjoyable. An Unfinished Tale
This set could have been great, but it tries to do too much for the price upon which Lego settled, and fails.

Zmarnowany potecjał
Tak naprawdę powinny być 2 gwiazdki. Dodałem jednak 1 gwiazdkę za to, że jestem fanem Władcy Pierścieni. Same Bag End trochę mało wyraziste z kilkoma niedociągnięciami np. słabo dopasowane drzwi wejściowe. Dodatki trochę polepszają scenografię. Najgorzej wypada jednak cena/licz... Fantastic build experience
Loved this set, I hadn't built a lego in 20 years or so. The fact that this build was in 3 separate booklets made it easy to "share" the build experience with the kids as well. No one was holding anyone back because everybody could work on their own piece.

Poor continuation of LoTR theme
I have many large Lego sets, and LoTR Rivendell remains my favourite of all. I also really like the external appearance of Barad-Dur (though not the comedy interior !).
