The speaker sounds great just like the clip 3 but the power button and Bluetooth button are lifted out instead of recessed. I'm continuously powering it off by accident with just a single press, this alone makes the clip 3 a superior product. It should at least be a press and hold to power off. I re... I'm pretty displeased with this. I had an older model that worked better, it connected for phone calls which was the main reason I purchased. This newer version has no mic/phone audio so I can't make phone calls while riding my bike. I wish I had known this before buying. It also doesn't tell me the... I absolutely love the speaker. I was in love with my go 3 but wanted something lighter as I stock shelves at night for work. I gave this 4 stars only because I hate where the power button is located. I love love love the JBL clip 4. I have purchased 4 spearate speakers as gifts for friends and family. It is very user friendly for all ages. I much prefer the original version. I don't need or want to clip the speaker onto a backpack or anything for that matter. I use it at home when streaming news and various talks.
